In an email to members of the Utah House of Representatives, Rep. Don Ipson (R, St. George) asked his colleagues for their consideration as Majority Leader. Ipson is currently Majority Assistant Whip. Others seeking the nomination include Rep. Greg Hughes (R, Draper), who is currently Majority Whip.
Fellow Republican Caucus Members, if I am re-elected by the people of District 75 in November, I would like to serve you as Majority Leader for the 2015/2016 Legislative Sessions. It has been an honor to serve with you and to serve as your Majority Assistant Whip. Thank you for allowing me that opportunity. During the coming months I will be in contact with each of you to discuss how I can best serve you and the caucus. Thanks for your friendship, and thanks again for allowing me to serve with you during the past two years. Thanks, Your Friend Don Sent from my iPad
