Jesse Harris is the author and creator of CoolestFamilyEver, where his wife occasionally contributes, and FreeUTOPIA, a blog on municipal broadband run on his own dime. He lives in White City Township, an unincorporated part of Salt Lake County surrounded by Sandy, and does support for security software. In his spare time, he’s also working on a couple of startup companies and has been a participant in various Startup Weekend projects.
Jesse’s work on FreeUTOPIA and municipal broadband has been featured in Ars Technica, DSLReports, Forbes, and local newspapers including the Salt Lake Tribune, Deseret News, City Weekly, Davis County Clipper, Daily Herald, and Standard-Examiner. CoolestFamilyEver has also been featured on KSL as a blog of the week. Jesse has also been a guest on the KVNU For the People and Utah Political Capitol radio programs. Despite a strong streak of political independence, he’s a Republican and former chair of precinct WHT004.
