For President Barack Obama’s seventh State of the Union speech, I will just write what comes to mind as I watch it. 8:06pm – “MISTER SPEAKERRRRRRRRRR! Tonight was the annual State of the Union address, and President Obama did not disappoint.  To paraphrase a much better writer than myself: It was the best of speeches, the worst of speeches, it was an account of wisdom,  it was a narrative of foolishness, it was a recitation of belief, it was a delivery of incredulity, it was a soliloquy of Light, it was a monologue of Darkness, it was the briefing on hope, it was the prophecy of despair, it had everything before it, it had nothing before it…in short, the State of the Union was so far like…

A teacher helped a student, an entrepreneur added a job, an auto worker fine-tuned a car, a farmer exported some crops, a rural doctor gave a kid some asthma medicine, a man took the bus home, and Norman Rockwell served some apple pie.
