David Damschen has announced his candidacy for Utah State Treasurer. Damschen has been employed as Chief Deputy State Treasurer for the last seven years. Phil Conder to run for State Treasurer

In an interview with Utah Politico Hub Wednesday morning, Phil Conder confirmed that he is running for Utah State Treasurer. Richard Ellis will resign from the office in November. Neil Walter of Washington County has also announced he is running for State Treasurer. Conder said that he intends “to bring the [Treasurer’s] office into the twenty-first century.” He decided to run after receiving calls from friends and associates urging him to consider the post. Neil Walter to announce candidacy for State Treasurer

In an interview with Utah Politico Hub Tuesday night, Neil Walter confirmed that he is running for Utah State Treasurer. Richard Ellis will resign from the office in November. Walter ran for the Congress in 2010, losing the Republican nomination to Morgan Philpot.
