Kathleen Bailey, a former Wall Street analyst and investment manager, has entered the race for Utah State Treasurer. Bailey is the fifth to enter the race to replace current Utah State Treasurer, Richard Ellis, who stepped down, effective November 1, to take a position with the state’s non-profit college savings program.  Merrill Cook, Neil Walter, Phil Conder, and David Damschen have previously announced their candidacies for the office. Merrill Cook has entered the race for Utah State Treasurer, the Utah Republican Party confirmed to Utah Politico Hub on Friday. The former Congressman is the fourth to enter the race to replace current Utah State Treasurer, Richard Ellis, who stepped down, effective November 1, to take a position with the state’s non-profit college savings program.  Neil Walter, Phil Conder, and David Damschen have previously announced their candidacies for the office.
