Utah Crime Lab improves efficiency to capture more criminals
What: The Utah Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory is helping
capture criminals faster thanks to an improved fingerprint efficiency
project. Gov. Gary R. Herbert will visit the State Crime Lab tomorrow to
see firsthand how the department is using the Success program to process
evidence 66 percent faster and solve more cases each year.
With 14 months to go before the December 2016 target date, two-thirds of
all state services have collectively achieved the governor’s goal of
improving performance by 25 percent. The remaining one-third are on track
to meet the target date.
